Shivshakti Agro (India) Private Limited is the market leader in Eastern India in producing balanced feed for poultry, cattle, and aquaculture. The company was established on 20th February 1990 by Shri Ram Gopal Sureka, who recognised the growing need for scientifically formulated and nutritionally balanced feed for livestock.
We began operations with a cattle feed mill in Samastipur, Bihar. As the company grew, we pioneered the introduction of pellet feed in Eastern India. Our flagship brand, “Amrit,” quickly became a trusted name among livestock and poultry keepers, offering essential nutrients that enhanced animal health and productivity.
Rising demand for Amrit led to the establishment of a fully automatic feed mill in 2002 at Chakundi Village, Kolkata, enabling us to serve the markets of Odisha and West Bengal. With these developments, SAIPL built a robust marketing and distribution network across Bihar, Jharkhand, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal, Assam, and the entire North-Eastern region.
Recognizing the evolving needs of fish farmers who were already using our sinking fish feed, we expanded into floating fish feed production by installing a one TPH imported floating fish feed plant in Samastipur in 2017. Due to the strong market response, we established a fully automated five TPH floating fish feed plant along with a ten TPH poultry feed line in August 2019.
Today, SAIPL is the premium provider of the finest quality “Amrit” brand animal feeds across Eastern India. Our mission is to offer the best nutritional solutions for the country’s poultry, cattle, and aquaculture sectors. To achieve this, our feed mills in Bihar and West Bengal are equipped with in-house R&D wings and laboratories, staffed by experienced professionals committed to quality enhancement and product innovation.
With over 34 years of market presence, SAIPL has become the preferred choice of animal keepers, reaching even the remotest corners of Eastern and North-Eastern India. Our extensive dealer network ensures efficient and timely delivery, supported by a customer-centric approach and labour-friendly policies.

Amrit Breeder Farms Private Limited
To further strengthen our growth and diversification, we established Amrit Breeder Farms Private Limited (ABFPL) in December 2007. This initiative marked our expansion into broiler breeding, farming, hatching, sale of day-old chicks, & broiler birds.
ABFPL began operations in Udumalpet, Tirupur District, Tamil Nadu, with the Vencobb breed in December 2007. Starting with rented open-house farms and a flock size of 20,000 female birds, we soon transitioned to fully automated, environmentally controlled houses, expanding capacity to 30,000 in lay. Today, we operate one brooding and growing facility and four laying facilities. All hatching eggs are transferred to our hatcheries in West Bengal and Assam, with day-old chicks distributed across Eastern and North-Eastern India.
Initially, hatching operations were carried out through custom hatching in third-party hatcheries in Kolkata, Patna, and Guwahati. We later established our own state-of-the-art hatcheries at Dankuni (Kolkata) in January 2013 and Guwahati in February 2016. Since inception, “Amrit” day-old broiler chicks have commanded a premium position in the Eastern India market till date.
To support our breeder operations, we established our own feed mill at Myvadi Village, Udumalpet in August 2010, dedicated to captive consumption.
In line with environmental protection, tapping renewable energy sources, our sustainability and energy conservation goals, we commissioned biogas plants in all our breeder farms. This facility converts poultry waste into electrical energy, meeting over 50% of the farm’s power requirements, while also producing organic solid and liquid manure. We have also established a roof top solar plant in one of the farms.
Broiler Division
Our broiler farming operations are based in Burdwan, Chakdaha, Krishnanagar, and Ramsagar in West Bengal, managed through contract farming partnerships with local farmers.

Currently, our products include various types of poultry broiler feed, layer feed, country bird feed, floating fish feed, sinking fish feed, cattle feed, and pig feed along with day-old broiler chicks and broiler birds.

- 20th Feb 1990 – Shivshakti Agro India was established in Samastipur, Bihar.
- 1991 Cattle feed Production started in AMRIT brand and started marketing.
- 1994 – East India’s first Poultry Pellet Feed was started in Samastipur plant.
- 2002 – Fully-automatic Feed mill was established in Dankuni, WB.
- Feb 2009 – Pig Feed was produced and introduced in the market.
- Dec 2012 – Aqua Feed – Sinking Fish Feed production & marketing started.
- 2017 – New 1 TPH Floating Fish Feed plant with Twin screw was established in Samastipur
- 2022 – New 5 TPH Fully automated Floating Fish feed plant established in Samastipur
